Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology
About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is an integral member of a provider’s office team, engaging with patients and working closely with the clinical team to provide excellent customer service and patient care. The role performs clinical skills within the CMA’s scope of practice in the management of ambulatory patients, under the direction of a licensed health care practitioner. It also applies available standards, resources, and data, and assists with front-office duties as needed using discretion, good judgment, and diplomacy. This position is based in Gastroenterology at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the day shift, at 1.0 FTE.
Requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C).
- Current BLS Certification.

- One year of experience in a physician’s office or other medical facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe clinical skills within the CMA’s scope of practice, including clinical duties in the management of ambulatory patients.
