About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) is seeking a Behavioral Health Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Behavioral Health department at the Evergreen Clinic. The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting, meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. They also meet the communication needs of patients and families, demonstrating initiative and responsibility under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, physician, and clinic manager. The role involves maintaining regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures, and standards, and communicating with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including diagnostic results and symptomatology.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required.
• This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.
