About The Position

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Hudson ReadyMed location. This is a full-time position with three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating holidays and weekends. The role is within a community-based, multi-specialty, physician-led organization focused on improving the quality, cost, and experience of healthcare through innovation and superior care management. The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative patient care duties, adhering to practice standards, and will be rewarded and recognized for performance in a challenging environment with clear direction and development opportunities.

Requirements

Education or on the job training as an Medical Assistant

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or completed within 90 days of date of hire for positions in direct patient care areas
Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc.
Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc.
Prepare treatment rooms.
Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions.
Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information.
