About The Position

The Medical Assistant is a certified, registered, or certification-eligible professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The role provides safe, quality care in accordance with standards established by the American Association of Medical Assistants. Requirements

• Certificate from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or completion of an associate or college education program in nursing or allied health from a verifiable educational institution.
• BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle, diffuse, and resolve difficult situations, including customer complaints.
• Team-oriented approach, flexibility, and resilience.
• Ability to meet performance requirements, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize worklists appropriately.
• Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Physical ability to perform the functional requirements of the job.
• Proficiency in electronic medical charting.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably within the past five years.
• Experience in medical front office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Provide safe, quality patient care in accordance with standards established by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, hospital staff, and other customers.
• Handle, diffuse, and resolve difficult situations, including customer complaints.
• Support GRMC team members as needed.
• Adapt to diverse patient dynamics and prioritize worklists while handling multiple tasks.
