About The Position

HCES is seeking compassionate and highly qualified healthcare professionals to provide school-based nursing and health services throughout Cobb County School District. These professionals will support student health, medication administration, chronic disease management, emergency response, and clinic operations in K-12 school settings. This opportunity allows clinicians to make a direct impact on student health outcomes while working in a predictable school-based schedule environment. The position will be a full-time role with a schedule of Monday through Friday on-site in various cities across Georgia - Cobb County.

Requirements

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Nursing
  • Hold BLS, First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use effective positive interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency including basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database software skills
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening
  • Ability to assist students by action or interaction in carrying out specialized therapeutic or physical care plans and procedures
  • Ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of special needs and therapeutic equipment
  • familiarity with HIPAA laws of confidentiality
  • Must possess knowledge of OSHA compliance standards
  • Must have a commitment to a core set of beliefs about learning, teaching and ongoing professional development
  • Knowledge of federal, state and district rules, regulations and policies as they relate to job functions
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision
  • Ability to compose correspondence and prepare reports in an articulate manner
  • Ability to possess a valid Geoergia driver’s license
  • Must have the ability to interpret program trends, results, and related data to formulate recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem solving
