About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only. Our Midwifery Obstetrics and Gynecology office is a specialty office within the Corewell Health Medical Group and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for women across all stages of life. We have two convenient locations in Ada and Cutlerville, offering a welcoming environment focused on personalized care and empowerment. Our midwives provide all our obstetrical care to low risk women while collaborating with our physicians. Our team includes 12 Certified Nurse Midwives, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 4 Physicians, supported by 4 nurses, 4 Patient Service Representatives, 4 ultrasound technologists, 1 ambulatory clinical technician, and 8 certified/registered medical assistants. Together, we deliver high-quality care through collaboration, compassion, and innovation. We offer a wide range of services including routine obstetric and gynecologic care, procedures such as IUD insertions and removals, in office hysteroscopy, colposcopy, LEEP and fetal non-stress tests. We also offer Centering Pregnancy, an innovative group prenatal care program that fosters education and community at both locations. A midwife and medical assistant or ambulatory clinical technician co-facilitate this. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
