About The Position

The Clinical Care Coordinator I provides patient care according to the needs of age-specific populations and assists with managing patient care in a physician office setting under the direct supervision of a provider. This position is with FPG Head & Neck Surgery in Sarasota.

Requirements

• Hold current, active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an accredited certifying agency; or hold an active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license and have at least one year of medical assistant or clinical healthcare experience; or have at least one year of medical assistant work experience.
• If qualifying through medical assistant work experience without current CMA or RMA certification, obtain CMA or RMA certification within 12 months of the hire/start date.
• Have Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification, or obtain it within 30 days of the hire/transfer date.
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or certificate.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
• Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
• Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
• Knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software, and skill with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
