Medical Assistant- ACCESS at Sinai
About The Position
Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants, and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet patients’ needs. Assist providers with onsite procedures; take vital signs; perform phlebotomy; and administer medications and vaccines directly to patients. Support patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments, and reviewing medical records. Continue to build clinical knowledge through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, an electronic medical record system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
- CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
- At least one year of experience or a clinical externship.
- Basic proficiency with an electronic medical record system; Epic preferred.
- Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
