About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to provide care in its dermatology and aesthetic services practice in Weston, Florida. The role includes evaluating and documenting patients’ skin conditions and symptoms, updating medical histories, providing information about treatments, performing non-intrusive medical procedures, educating patients about preventive skin care, and screening patients and employees upon entry.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• A Medical Assistant certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Keep records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information regarding skin health conditions.
• Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conduct non-intrusive medical procedures.
• Educate patients about preventive skin care.
• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
