About The Position

The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative support tasks, maintains patient records, prepares examination rooms, and follows applicable privacy and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide valid employment eligibility documentation, as required by federal law.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish proficiency.
• Experience with phlebotomy and EKGs.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform patient intake, take vital signs, and complete clinical documentation.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other clinical procedures as authorized and trained.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain medical supplies.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety protocols.
• Provide a welcoming and professional patient experience.
