About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in its dermatology practice in Weston, Florida. The role calls for exceptional customer service and clinical skills and supports the practice’s mission to deliver high-quality patient care and experiences in dermatology and aesthetic services. The position works with a team of professionals in a patient-focused environment.

The Medical Assistant evaluates and documents patients’ skin conditions and symptoms, updates medical histories, reviews information about skin health, explains available treatments, assists with non-intrusive medical surgeries, and educates patients about preventive skin care. The role also includes daily screening of patients and employees upon entry.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• All applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is strongly preferred; alternatively, the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• Medical Assistant certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Keep records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information regarding skin-health conditions.
• Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
