About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Naples to support patient care and clinic operations. The role involves welcoming and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, collecting patient histories and measurements, and assisting physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments. The Medical Assistant also performs administrative and front desk tasks, including scheduling appointments and procedures and managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position suits someone who is compassionate, service-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using an EMR/EHR.
- Computer proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
- Provide focused, empathetic patient care and maintain a calming presence.
