The Medical Assistant (MA) in Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery will provide clinical care under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians. Responsibilities include documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit, and taking medical histories. The MA will prepare patients for examinations and procedures, perform bladder scans, void trials, catheterizations, and assist the physician during procedures. They will also collect and prepare specimens, sterilize medical equipment/scopes using High Level Disinfection, answer phones, schedule, reschedule, and register patients, and review provider templates. This role requires flexibility, a team-player attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position will also be trained to cross cover Gynecological Pain & MIS.
