About The Position

The Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform assigned duties that assist in providing patient care. The role includes all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) position and requires full competency in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic and work location. The Medical Assistant II performs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The position is with Covenant Medical Group, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all payment conditions. For eligible positions with an FTE below 1.0, the bonus is prorated based on FTE. Providence also offers benefits and compensation beginning on the first day of employment.

Requirements

• Complete one of the following: graduate from a school that includes hands-on clinical training for medical assistants; graduate from a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; complete two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or have at least one year of similar medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Obtain National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
