About The Position

The Patient Care Coordination Medical Assistant serves as a key member of the ambulatory care team, supporting primary care patients through centralized management of incoming calls, electronic messages, and care coordination activities. This position is responsible for addressing patient inquiries within Medical Assistant scope of practice, facilitating timely communication between patients and care teams, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). The role promotes exceptional patient experiences, continuity of care, and efficient workflow management while ensuring that clinical concerns requiring assessment or triage are appropriately escalated to licensed clinical staff. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification (Upon hire)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Within 30 days of hire)
  • 6 months Healthcare experience.
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience.
