About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and clerical support in a busy Adult Neurology Office. The hours are Monday- Friday (8:00-5:00 or 9:00-5:30). Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred. Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus. General Summary: Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA, CCMA, RMA)
• Medicare Exclusion List
• Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred.
• Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Assists providers with patient care.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• Various clerical duties (phones, schedule appointments)
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
• Administering injections.
• Other duties as assigned.
