About The Position

Under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice clinician (NP or PA), the Medical Assistant performs Medical Assistant-specific tasks and assesses and educates patients. The position is in Berkley Family Medicine and is classified as non-exempt. The shift is first shift, and the pay range is $18.96–$25.59.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) from an American Heart Association-approved program for Healthcare Providers (HCP). New hires must have the appropriate AHA certification before completing orientation.
• Good communication skills.
• Competence in providing patient care using the nursing process.
• Knowledge of the basic principles of human growth and development.
• Competence interacting successfully with patients according to their special needs, which may relate to the age of the patient served.

Nice To Haves

• Training in specialty-specific assisting is desired.
