About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is hiring an organized, efficient Medical Assistant for its Pain Management and Spine clinic, located inside Boise Regional Medical Center. The role supports a new physician in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic. The clinic takes a whole-person approach to pain management, combining therapies and techniques such as physical therapy, injections, nutrition, exercise, relaxation, stress management, and biofeedback. The Spine Care Center provides individualized care for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions, with a focus on achieving strong outcomes with minimal intervention. In addition to typical Medical Assistant duties, the position includes collecting medical histories and urine toxicology screens, educating patients, preparing charts, reviewing referrals, conducting prior authorizations, scheduling procedures, responding to patient calls and MyChart messages, and cross-training with front-office staff. The hospital-based setting involves more time on one's feet than a typical clinic environment. The schedule is 40 hours per week across four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, generally around 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with Fridays off. The position is based at 1055 N. Curtis Road, Boise, Idaho, in the South Tower of Boise Regional Medical Center.
