About The Position

Gila Health Resources is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for its Morenci Occupational Medicine Department. This patient-facing position supports the team when coverage is needed. PRN team members may choose whether to accept offered shifts based on their availability and may receive preference when full-time opportunities become available.

The Medical Assistant welcomes and rooms patients, takes vital signs, scans documents, and performs occupational health tests and screenings, including drug and alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, and respirator fit testing. The role calls for a dependable, detail-oriented team player who provides excellent customer service, communicates well, collaborates, and helps create a positive experience for patients.

Candidates who are currently certified as Medical Assistants or have previously held certification are welcome. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a post-offer drug and alcohol test and background check, and on complying with GHR’s random and for-cause employee drug and alcohol testing policy during employment.

Responsibilities
