About The Position

Columbia County Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join the team at Columbia and Waitsburg Family Clinics in Dayton and Waitsburg, Washington. The role serves a wide range of patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a Rural Health Clinic setting. The position is full-time, 32–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with scheduled hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Medical Assistant may float to other clinics as needed.

Requirements

• Active Washington State Certified Medical Assistant license.
• BLS certification every two years; the employer will help obtain it if needed.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Prepare patients for visits and obtain vital signs.
• Verify patient information and assist providers during exams.
• Perform basic lab tests, prepare specimens, and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and process prescription refills as directed.
• Educate patients on care instructions and answer questions.
• Stock and clean exam rooms daily and maintain equipment.
