About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists providers and the nursing team in delivering professional medical care at the Cardiovascular Consultants East Clinic. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role includes supporting patient care and clinic operations, with floating to other metro and outreach clinic locations as needed.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, or CCMA).
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-visit planning and prepare patient charts.
- Room patients and obtain and document vital signs.
- Perform EKGs and finger-stick testing.
- Conduct telephone screening using established protocols.
- Scan and download documents into the medical record.
- Support providers and nursing staff with patient care activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in mentoring and precepting new employees as needed.
- Float to other metro and outreach clinic locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
