About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for its Baptist Primary Care - Intracoastal West office on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida. The role performs back-office medical assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available. Spanish bilingual candidates are strongly preferred but not required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of primary care experience.
- Experience in a physician's office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
- Certified Medical Assistant credential.
- Spanish bilingual ability.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests as directed by the physician.
- Process prescription requests and referrals.
