About The Position

First Physicians Group (FPG) is hiring Medical Assistants! Both experienced and entry-level Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply. As a Clinical Care Coordinator I, you’ll work directly with patients and healthcare providers to support high-quality, day-to-day clinical care. Responsibilities may include: Escorting patients to exam rooms, Preparing patients for examinations and procedures, Taking and documenting vital signs, Recording medical histories and current concerns, Documenting provider notes, procedures, and patient instructions.

Requirements

Already certified? Have an active CMA or RMA certification through an accepted organization such as AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAH, or NAHP.
Have EMT license? Have a current EMT license plus at least one year of Medical Assistant or clinical healthcare experience.
Already working as a Medical Assistant but not certified? Must have at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience. You may qualify without current CMA/RMA certification, but you will be required to obtain an approved CMA or RMA certification within 12 months of hire.
Require Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date.

Nice To Haves

Prefer one (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
Prefer experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
Prefer the ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
Prefer demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software along with skill in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
