About The Position

First Physicians Group (FPG) is hiring Medical Assistants! Both experienced and entry-level Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply. As a Clinical Care Coordinator I, you’ll work directly with patients and healthcare providers to support high-quality, day-to-day clinical care. Responsibilities may include: Escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, taking and documenting vital signs, recording medical histories and current concerns, and documenting provider notes, procedures, and patient instructions. Opportunities are available across multiple locations including Sarasota, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, Osprey, North Port, and Bradenton, in various specialties such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, ENT, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Endocrinology, Laryngology, Pulmonology, OB/GYN, Dermatology, Cardiovascular & Thoracic, Urology, and Plastic Surgery.

Requirements

• Active CMA or RMA certification through an accepted organization (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAH, or NAHP)
• Current EMT license plus at least one year of Medical Assistant or clinical healthcare experience
• At least one year of Medical Assistant work experience (if not certified, requires obtaining approved CMA or RMA certification within 12 months of hire)

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice
• Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs
• Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative
• Demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software
• Skill in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Monday through Friday schedules
• 8-hour shifts
• Office hours generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• No holidays
• No weekends (except for North Port exception)
• Shift differential for eligible evening and weekend hours (North Port exception)
