About The Position
Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in its dermatology practice in Traverse City, Michigan. Requirements
- Customer service experience is required.
- Must be computer literate.
- CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
- Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
- MA certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.
- CPR certification is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
- Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
- Keep records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
- Analyze information regarding skin health conditions.
- Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
- Conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries.
- Educate patients about preventive skin care.
- Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
