Medical Assistant -Sleep Medicine Clinic
About The Position
The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with physicians and/or advanced practice providers in an ambulatory care setting. The role assists with preparing and delivering ambulatory patient care as directed by providers and other licensed clinical personnel. The Medical Assistant consistently performs clinical duties according to departmental policies and procedures. Care is based on the nursing process and supports the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory setting, with an emphasis on good customer relations. The position is based at the Dodson Medical Office Building in the Sleep Medicine Clinic. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 40 standard weekly hours. Cook Children’s is a Texas-only employer; employees must maintain their primary residence in Texas and keep all required licenses and credentials current throughout employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant school or current medical assistant certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Must maintain a primary residence in Texas and all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.
