About The Position

US Fertility is hiring a Medical Assistant to join Shady Grove Fertility in Houston, Texas. The role floats to Clear Lake, Beaumont, Memorial City, Katy, and Spring Woodlands, Texas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a weekend rotation in Clear Lake, Texas.

The Medical Assistant supports fertility patients and clinical teams through phlebotomy, specimen handling, clinical and administrative assistance, patient education, and compassionate care. The role also supports physicians and ultrasound technicians during procedures and helps ensure program goals and excellent customer service are met.

Requirements

• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• Strong patient orientation and ability to work as a team player.
• Professionalism and strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Background in women's health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for blood-drawing stations.
• Ensure laboratory specimens are sent to the appropriate laboratories.
• Document patient care services using daily logs and patient records.
• Enter laboratory information into the computer and print labels.
• Assist physicians or ultrasound technicians with various procedures.
• Assist with HSGs as needed.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients.
• Provide patient and couple counseling and procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders and instructions.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative education.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Work independently to help achieve program goals.
• Support and promote excellence in customer service.
• Complete administrative tasks, including prior authorizations.
