Medical Assistant
About The Position
Main Line Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant for their OBGYN practice in Media, PA. This role involves working closely with patients and healthcare providers, assisting physicians and practitioners with routine procedures such as blood draws, vital signs, immunizations, and EKGs. The Medical Assistant will also help maintain smooth patient flow and anticipate patient needs. Requirements
- Proficient in medical procedures and medical terminology required.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers at time of hire or within 30 days of start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience preferred.
- Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applications preferred.
- Knowledge of third party payors preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and practitioners with routine blood draws, vital signs, immunizations, EKG’s, etc.
- Care for patients
- Maintain a smooth patient flow
- Anticipate patient needs
- Wear a respirator as part of the job requirement
