About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant at its Lakewood Ranch location. The role supports focused, empathetic patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting. The Medical Assistant greets and triages patients, prepares examination and procedure rooms, gathers patient histories and measurements, assists physicians with exams and treatments, and handles related administrative tasks. The position is located on Palmbrush Trail in Lakewood Ranch. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
• Computer proficiency.
• Compassionate, service-oriented approach; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms for patients.
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
• Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
