About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to work alongside healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment, supporting medical assessments and evaluations and delivering high-quality patient care. The role includes preparing patients for exams, assisting with routine clinical procedures, maintaining records, responding to patient inquiries, and keeping equipment and supplies organized. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with full benefits. The position is in Queens, New York, and is identified as onsite.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate approach to patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support clinicians with patient care and medical evaluations.
• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Perform routine clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Maintain medical records and respond to patient inquiries.
• Keep equipment and supplies stocked and organized.
