About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy OB/GYN practice serving patients in St. Petersburg and Largo, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced women’s health environment.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of an accredited program resulting in a certificate or associate degree in Medical Assisting
Comfortable performing in-office blood draws and other basic clinical duties
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff at all levels
Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computers, EHR/EMR systems, and Microsoft Office applications
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, punctuality, and compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations professionally, and de-escalate when needed
Ability to reliably commute to both office locations in St. Petersburg and Largo, FL
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Nice To Haves

Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experience
Experience with ATHENAHEALTH

Responsibilities

Room patients, prepare them for examinations and procedures, and assist providers during visits
Obtain and document vital signs, perform blood draws, collect specimens, and administer injections
Assist OB/GYN providers during examinations and in-office procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EHR) system
Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced office environment
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff while supporting smooth clinic flow
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms while following HIPAA and safety protocols
Assist with front office and other clinical duties as needed
