About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy OB/GYN practice serving patients in St. Petersburg and Largo, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced women’s health environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of an accredited program resulting in a certificate or associate degree in Medical Assisting
  • Comfortable performing in-office blood draws and other basic clinical duties
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers, EHR/EMR systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, punctuality, and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations professionally, and de-escalate when needed
  • Ability to reliably commute to both office locations in St. Petersburg and Largo, FL
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experience
  • Experience with ATHENAHEALTH

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, prepare them for examinations and procedures, and assist providers during visits
  • Obtain and document vital signs, perform blood draws, collect specimens, and administer injections
  • Assist OB/GYN providers during examinations and in-office procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced office environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff while supporting smooth clinic flow
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms while following HIPAA and safety protocols
  • Assist with front office and other clinical duties as needed
