About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician and nurse in a clinic setting. The role performs routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health. This is a temporary position eligible for benefits and conversion to a permanent position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assistant training program, or current certification as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization (such as CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT), or RMA (AMT)).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
