The Medical Assistant supports providers and patients in a busy clinic by ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and excellent customer service. This role focuses on rooming patients, preparing charts, obtaining vital signs, and managing incoming phone calls while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent required.
  • Current Montana CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 60 days after hire date.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

  • Supports providers and patients in a busy clinic by ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and excellent customer service.
  • Rooming patients, preparing charts, obtaining vital signs, and managing incoming phone calls while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
  • Assisting with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitors and communication changes in patient condition.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains examination areas.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
