About The Position
On Demand Counseling is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join their team. This role is crucial in breaking down barriers to treatment and recovery by connecting patients with the resources and support they need to succeed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification preferred although not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and reason for the visit.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and addressing inquiries.
- Aid healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Obtain records and all information needed before patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with front desk duties as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and streamline clinic operations.
