Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to accurately take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height, in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Maintain patient confidentiality and understand HIPAA regulations
Comfortable working in a diverse community
Demonstrate compassion and respect towards all patients
Current CPR certification
Must pass a background check
Must pass a recent TB test

Nice To Haves

Experience in a medical office
Training as a Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
Familiarity with computer programs, especially NEXTGEN

Responsibilities

Taking vital signs
Preparing patients for examinations
Ensuring that examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies
Adhering to infection control practices
Assisting in documenting patient information
Performing EKGs
Aiding in spirometry
Assisting with minor surgical procedures, including immunizations and wound care
