About The Position

This is a non-benefited, per diem/casual position with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Organ Transplant department at Green Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide hope to patients and be a part of their second chance at life. The ideal candidate will be experienced and comfortable assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals. They will be eager to grow their skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care. This role functions in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers. Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
• BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting
• Experience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals
