Medical Assistant
About The Position
Freeman Recovery Center, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist medical and nursing staff in providing an excellent client experience. This role involves supporting medical providers and nursing staff daily, performing point of care testing, and recording vital signs and assessment flow sheets. The Medical Assistant will maintain detailed records in EMR systems, assist with routine checks and diagnostic testing by collecting and processing specimens, and monitor supplies to ensure timely reordering. Additionally, the position requires monitoring patients in clinical care for current needs, adherence to policies and procedures, and any clinical or medical-related issues, as well as assisting with medication observation as needed.
Requirements
- CPR, First Aid/AED certification (provided by Freeman, if needed) required.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- CNA or MA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist medical providers and nursing staff daily.

- Monitor supplies regularly and submit orders in a timely manner.
- Monitor patients in clinical care for current needs, adherence to policies & procedures, and clinical or medical related issues.
- Assist with observing medications as needed.
