About The Position

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, optimizing patient satisfaction and provider time, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business office. This role involves direct patient care, administrative tasks, and contributing to team efforts.

Requirements

1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
Must be Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant
Must have a Medical Assistant diploma
Must have Pediatric experience
Must have phlebotomy experience
Must have strong injections experience

Nice To Haves

Epic experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Triage patients
Prepare medical records
Room patients
Provide clinical help
Welcome patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
