About The Position
The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. The role assists with the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by providers and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties must be performed skillfully and consistently in accordance with established clinical policies and procedures. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday and Friday, for 32 standard weekly hours. Cook Children’s is a Texas-only employer; employees must maintain their primary residence in Texas and keep all licenses and credentials required for their position current throughout employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school or current Medical Assistant certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Maintain a primary residence within Texas throughout employment.
- Maintain all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.
Nice To Haves
- National certification preferred.
