Medical Assistant - Ear, Nose & Throat Clinics
About The Position
As a Medical Assistant in the Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic, you will work alongside ear, nose and throat specialists and support the diagnosis and treatment of conditions including chronic sinus problems, voice disorders, hearing loss, head and neck tumors, and complex airway issues. The role involves hands-on patient care and assisting with advanced procedures, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized, whole-person care plans. Provide quality care to patients under the direction of licensed practitioners, promote efficient clinic operations, and assist physicians and support staff. Deliver professional, engaging customer service to patients and others.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association-endorsed program; applicable to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
- If required to administer medications, have a current Medication Aid Registry listing or complete it within the first 30 days of hire or transfer, and maintain it thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a physician's office.
- Experience in a related area.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish for work in certain clinics.
- Medical assistant certification.
- Medical Scribe experience.
Responsibilities
