About The Position

Adventist Health Tillamook is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide non-invasive, routine technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife. The role supports outpatient care by preparing exam rooms, checking in patients, maintaining patient recall and continuity-of-care records, obtaining vital signs, reporting relevant findings, performing ordered venipunctures, and conducting audiometry and vision testing. This is a per-diem, day-shift position.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy is required.
• All required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent combination of licensure and experience.
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training, or a CHDP certificate, within six months of hire.
• Phlebotomy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system, including a continuity-of-care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs and report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
• Perform venipunctures as ordered.
• Perform audiometry and vision testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
