Medical Assistant Family Medicine Part Time
About The Position
Byron Center Family Medicine is a collaborative, patient-centered practice with four physicians and three advanced practice providers. It provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages and manages a wide range of health conditions, with an emphasis on lasting relationships and teamwork. The care team also includes medical assistants, patient service representatives, a part-time X-ray technician, a pharmacist, a behavioral health specialist, and a care manager. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you will be part of the clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver high-quality patient care. The position is part-time, with 16 scheduled hours per week, and follows a day shift. Scheduled days are Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; hours are described as variable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training, or at least one year of experience working specifically as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with the MA scope of practice.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
- Obtain one of the following certifications within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
