About The Position
The Medical Assistant provides compassionate, patient-focused care and superior customer service in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia Ambulatory Care Network. The role supports practitioners and management with daily practice operations by performing clinical and clerical functions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include drawing blood, taking patients’ vital signs, and welcoming and directing visitors and hospital colleagues. The Medical Assistant is expected to maintain a courteous, respectful demeanor while multitasking among people and responsibilities. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position scheduled from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays. The hourly salary range is $30.30–$32.11.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state- and/or nationally accredited Medical Assistant program.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pediatrics, OB/GYN, and/or internal medicine.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
