About The Position
We have a full-time opening for a Pre-Med/Pre-PA Dermatology Medical Assistant at our growing practice in South Central Austin. The office is conveniently located at the corner of South Lamar and West Gate Blvd. The practice is independent and enjoys a great work culture.
Requirements
- Pre-Med/Pre-PA background
Responsibilities
- Answering phones
- Patient call-backs
- Managing faxes
- Performing prior-authorizations
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining medical histories
- Scribing exam notes with an iPad
- Assisting the doctor with cosmetic, surgical, and Mohs procedures
- Reviewing handouts/information with patients
- Patient education
- Turning over rooms
- Product education
- Making the patients feel comfortable and welcome
- Instrument sterilization
- Prepping/tracking/managing exam room stocking
- Supply ordering
