About The Position
RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is hiring a Medical Assistant or LPN to support an Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner in Jamestown, Tennessee. The position is scheduled Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours may be available for candidates interested in traveling to other Ridgeview locations on other days of the week. The Medical Assistant supports the Medication Management provider with clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, gathering information, calling in prescriptions, providing patient education, entering information into the electronic health record, and administering intramuscular injections. The position reports directly to the Nurse Manager of the Medication Management department. Requirements
- Medical Assistant training and certification from an accredited program.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
- Ability to become CPR certified within 90 days of employment.
- Employment is contingent upon a clean drug screen, background check, and driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
