About The Position

Emplify Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support its Pediatrics Clinic. The role provides welcoming, patient-centered care to children and families and works alongside nurses, providers, medical professionals, and managers. Duties include updating patient information in charting systems, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures. This is a 0.9 FTE position scheduled for 72 hours bi-weekly. The usual schedule is Monday through Friday, with day shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional Saturday coverage for the newborn clinic is required; no holiday hours are required.

Requirements

Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, or Vocational Nurse program, or completed education that makes the candidate eligible for NCLEX-PN; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent and a Medical Assistant Certification.
BLS certification for healthcare workers.
Obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and help set a welcoming tone for their appointments.
Update patient information in charting systems.
Take patients’ vital signs.
Gain hands-on experience assisting with procedures alongside nurses and providers.
Partner with providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patient care and health journeys.
