About The Position
OrthoArizona is a leading physician-owned orthopedic and musculoskeletal care group in Arizona, serving the Greater Phoenix community since 1994. With over 200 healthcare providers and 30 clinics, OrthoArizona offers comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine services. The organization is seeking Medical Assistants of all levels to join their team, providing opportunities for both entry-level professionals and experienced individuals across various locations. The role involves supporting renowned orthopedic specialists and contributing to the mission of providing exceptional and compassionate musculoskeletal care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience in a medical office
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed / EMA experience preferred
- Modernizing medicine EMA EMR experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
- Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Assist in the procedure room with procedures, receive IV training and certification and start IVs.
- Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.
