About The Position

Medical Assistant – Women’s Health in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you’ll work closely with providers and patients, supporting care across different stages of a woman’s life while helping create an environment where every patient feels respected, comfortable, and heard. This is more than rooming patients and taking vitals. You’ll become a trusted part of the care team, helping patients navigate routine women’s healthcare, prenatal services, procedures, follow-up care, and everything in between. Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification required
• 3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable assisting with sensitive examinations and procedures in a professional and compassionate manner
• Ability to help patients feel at ease during personal or potentially stressful healthcare visits
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment
• A collaborative approach and willingness to jump in where the team needs support
• Commitment to providing respectful, inclusive, patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

• Women’s Health, OB/GYN, prenatal, primary care, or related clinical experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and rooming patients while helping them feel comfortable and prepared for their visit
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other clinical information
• Preparing exam and procedure rooms and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available
• Chaperoning examinations and assisting providers with women’s health procedures
• Supporting prenatal and women’s health visits
• Collecting and preparing specimens as ordered
• Performing basic clinical and laboratory procedures within your training and scope
• Administering immunizations and medications as directed and permitted
• Assisting providers with follow-up care, patient instructions, and clinical documentation
• Monitoring provider desktops, messages, charts, and other clinical workflow needs
• Helping maintain accurate and timely information in the electronic health record
• Supporting efficient patient flow throughout the day
• Connecting patients with additional health and community resources when appropriate
• Collaborating with the entire care team to support quality, safety, and an excellent patient experience
