About The Position

Family Health Centers is hiring an entry-level Medical Assistant Trainee for a full-time, bridge-to-career position in Omak, Washington. The trainee learns clinical workflows through hands-on experience while receiving a full-time wage. Family Health Centers provides on-the-job training in vitals, patient intake, and clinical workflows; covers the cost of MA training; and offers direct guidance from nurses and providers. The role supports the employee through the Medical Assistant Registration process. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Commitment to completing Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire.
Compassion and genuine interest in helping people, especially in underserved communities.
Eagerness to learn and readiness to participate in training and clinical work.
Reliability.
Ability to communicate with patients and help them feel heard.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and help them feel comfortable during their visits.
Assist clinical staff with basic tasks, including taking weight and height and rooming patients.
Keep exam rooms clean and organized.
Learn to use Electronic Health Records (EHR) to document patient information.
Provide empathetic care to a diverse population with varied needs.
Complete Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire.
